Edit to original post:
A few days after our purchase, we found out that BumGenius released their new 4.0 models.  We returned our purchase and have pre-ordered the newest version, which should be delivered mid July.

Today we took the plunge and invested in our cloth diapers.  We decided on the BumGenius 3.0 One-Size diapers because they seemed to be the easiest to use.  These diapers are sized to fit babies from 8-35 pounds, and adjust with velcro and snaps.  They are shaped just like a "regular" disposable diaper, so putting them on a squirmy baby should be pretty easy.  Wish us luck!

A few months back I decided to plant some veggies.  I knew that if I put them in the yard the rabbits would eat them all, so I decided to use containers and keep them safe way up on my deck.
Well, here are my results so far!  I am very proud of myself.
Cody said next year we can attempt an actual garden, with a fence to keep out all the critters!

Back to the grind

This week marked my first week back in classes.  I really enjoyed my time off, but I know that each class I take will have me that much closer to my master's degree.  This semester I am taking Advanced Nursing Role Acquisition, which is about adjusting the new responsibilities of an advanced practice nurse.  It appears to be pretty reading intensive, so I am assuming I will be spending most of the hot summer sitting inside reading.

In Baby Brody news...
This week, the baby is as big as an ear of corn
He should be measuring 8.5 inches and weigh about 1.5 pounds

I am now 23 weeks along (almost 6 months).  We have a doctors appointment Monday, which will consist of:
1. a really long wait in the waiting room
2. getting weighed (yuck), and having my blood pressure taken
3. measuring how big my belly is getting (which is really big!)
4. hearing the baby's heart rate on the doppler (hopefully)
5. any questions for the doctor.

Here is a list of our recent Brody related accomplishments:
1. We registered at Baby's R US and Target
2. the crib is here and put together
3. my jog stroller is here and put together (Thanks to REI for doing that!)
4. the furniture is painted
5. the crib bedding has been ordered

We started working on the furniture today.  We took off all the handles and drawer pulls, and did lots of sanding.  The dressers have both been clean and are ready to be primed.  I am thinking we might tackle that project on Friday.

A few big purchases!

We have been busy buying a few things for our little man.  I can't wait until we get everything!

We ended up going with a different jog stroller, and sold our original purchase on Craigslist.
Here is a picture of the new one.

Brody's crib has been ordered.

Furniture for his room.
(We are going to paint it to match the coffee color of the crib)

We decided on this media stand to use as a changing table, I really didn't like the dresser that matched.  I think it will be perfect once it has been painted.

And my highchair that I love so much!
