Brody's 1st Cardinals Game

Monday night we took Brody to his first game.  The Cardinals played the Phillies, and won 3-1.  We had great seats, and are very thankful to the family from Cody's work that shared them with us.  

Brody loved all the excitement and the cheering fans.  I'm not sure if he actually watched any baseball, but he was sure interested in people watching!

7 months

Woo Hoo!  Our boy is finally growing!  Weight check today {14 pounds, 11.5 oz} He is still in the 3% for weight, but is following the growth curve.  And holy cow is he long, 27 inches!

Mothers Day 2011

We had a beautiful day Sunday for my First Mothers Day.  

I worked nights over the weekend, and when I got up Daddy and Brody surprised me with beautiful flowers.  

For Mother's Day, I wanted some family pictures of the three of us.  I hope to make this a yearly tradition.  It's hard to get a good picture on a wiggly 6 month old and a very tired post-night shift momma! Here's the best of the bunch.

Splish Splash

Yesterday was Brody's last day of swim lessons

He got a 'Report Card' that gave him a check mark for each skill he completed:  Getting wet, floating on front and back with parent support, jumping in (with submergence), front and back kick with parent support and introduction to arm movement.  His teacher Miss Taylor said "Brody was a joy to have in class".  We are going to take a break from classes next month, but will try another class again soon.

 He was getting too big for his baby tub, and really doesn't like laying back in it.  

He has had such a good time splashing during swim lessons, I figured he would do well in the tub.  Which he did, until he decided he'd had enough!
