{lately}

it's been pretty quiet over here.

here are some photos of whats been going on in our little neck of the woods!

i am 10 days away from my marathon. i am getting excited but a little nervous as well. there has been lots of runs over the last several weeks. i have stuck to my training plan pretty well, so here's hoping it goes well!

we have been taking advantage of the warmer weather, trying to spend lots of time outside!

we took a camping trip to the lake. and enjoyed some sunny {but super windy} days on the lake. went on lots of bike rides, and just enjoyed some family time together, away from home.

we also finally got around to painting our master bedroom. this has been in the plans for months. i am so glad to have it finished. it is nice to have a fresh blank slate, and i'm looking forward to doing some decorating! I've been working on a bedroom makeover board pinterest... we'll see what ideas i end up using. decorating is not something i am very good at!

{a trip to the zoo last week}

the high was 80 degrees. our first really warm spring day.

so we played hooky from school. obviously. because, wouldn't you?!

{don't be jealous, the next day it was high of 36* and snowing}

Disney on Ice

last saturday {march 1st} we went to Disney on Ice.

{enough pictures mom! let's see the show...}

we brought grandma with us and had a great time.

i bought "cheap" tickets, which ended up being in the club level. that doesn't mean much if your not at a hockey game, but we were dead center and had cushy seats. sounds like a win to me.

the show was called 'passport to adventure' and took you on a vacation tour of some of the Disney movies. first stop, africa.

The entire second half of the show was {Peter Pan}

B loved the tic toc croc...

i'm pretty sure grandma & i loved the show as much as brody. i'm kinda a sucker for disney, and am a tiny bit jealous of the talent of the performers. disney does everything well!

we ended our day with lunch at lions choice, with grandma.

that meant ice cream for dessert.

eating ice cream cones takes talent...

we are still working on developing that skill, but practice makes perfect

Rain {freezing rain}, go away.

it is a rare occasion we are all home together. but yesterday thats just what we found. and it was supposed to be mid 40's. that is almost a heat wave after the negative and single digit temps we have been {barely} tolerating. however, when we woke up we were welcomed by a downpour of freezing rain, and a thick sheet of ice. we scrapped our plans for any time outdoors, and took B bowling.

we went a few weeks back for a birthday party, and b loved it. i wanted to take him again on a day where it wasn't as crowded and we weren't rushed for time. and today was the winner.
